100% natural talalay

I had bought a hybrid spring coil mattress from SleepEz last year for my young son. I had chosen a 100% Talalay and had asked if there was anything synthetic and was told there was none in the latex. However, I recently read online that Talalay is usually never 100% natural, but has synthetics mixed in, sometimes even polyurethane, which I specifically wanted to avoid.

Would someone be able to shed some light on whether there my mattress is truly synthetic and polyurethane free?

Thanks in advance

Hello and thank you so much for the order and thanks for reaching out! The Talalay we carry finishes at 98% natural rubber from an actual rubber tree. The remaining 2% of ingredients are things like natural fatty acids, natural soaps, and natural reinforcing agents needed for the manufacturing process. So no man-made rubber or other synthetic materials in the product whatsoever. Just keep in mind that there’s tons of information out there on the internet, and just as much misinformation, so it’s always good to cross-check that information against truly unbiased resources like the Mattress Underground! Also, at Sleep EZ, we do not work on commission so we don’t give out misinformation just to close a sale, and we’ve built our reputation on being honest and customer-service oriented, so I think you’re in good shape on your recent purchase!
