A few weeks out of the return window and my BB queen medium seems like a marshmellow. My hips seem to be sagging and my spine is not aligned. It only works now when I am side sleeping. It seems like a very, very soft mattress. Feel kind of silly for not returning it earlier but I swear it seemed OK for a few months. Any tips? I am only 155 lbs, 6 ft tall, but i feel like my hips are sinking inches into this thing. No support at all.
I need to find something else that doesnt off-gas too much since the bed is in a tiny metal trailer. I don’t do well with latex due to chemical sensitivities. This is so frustrating. I have a Mygreenmattress pure echo which is a rock in my home, with a wool topper. It’s decent with the topper. I could consider doing a similar setup in the trailer. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thx.

Noticed that the frame you linked to has 7.6" spacing between slats, while the BB website FAQ states that their mattresses require a foundation with 4" or less spacing between slats. Many other brands require 3" or less so that’s not an unusual requirement and having larger spacing will affect the support the mattress will ultimately provide. It can also affect warranty claims if you don’t meet the requirement. Not sure what you should do at this point since you’re outside of the trial period. If you have space you could try temporarily putting the mattress directly on the carpeted floor to see if it provides the support you’re looking for. If so then you should pursue getting a more supportive foundation which meets their stated requirement.

I did your test and slept on the floor with the mattress for 3 days. It is definitely better. I was wondering if you think the BB frame they sell is good? Amazon has the identical type for $100. The slats are very wide, but have vertical slats going through as well, so the gaps should be smaller, right? Is this adequate you think? I preferred my old frame becusae it was easier to store bins underneath and pull out from the front since it is in a travel trailer. But this might do, especially for $100. Thoughts?

I wouldn’t recommend that type of frame either, the extra supports appear to just be wire. It really doesn’t matter what I think, you should be using a frame which your mattress maker approves so that you will maintain the terms of their warranty. They don’t generally require their own exclusively but a similar model that they can approve of. Good luck and glad that you found the mattress better when properly supported so the problem isn’t the mattress. A caution not to keep the mattress on the floor for too long or you may develop some moisture issues on the bottom.
