plan to build a bed around these coils
want to keep this simple
need a top layer and a cover
prefer to be on a mattress opposed to in it.
top layer, im thinking poly foam, 3 inch of latex seams way to plush , how much ? how firm?
cover, i like the quilted ones on APM but don’t want to interfere with the proper functioning of the coils .
soliciting recommendations esp those with experience

couple questions…
are you looking for firm medium plush?
side stomach or back sleeper.
If you are not in a rush, I always recommend getting the base coils first to see how they feel and build off of that.

im 200lb wife is 125lb but not doing a zoned bed, she also prefers firm
im not in a great rush and planed on ordering coils before the cover but was going to take a gamble and order a topper with it.
If you think getting the coils first will help inform my decision perhaps ill do that.
can the coils be slept on without a topper? or just a comforter?
im not too picky about what i sleep on. i been on an intex air bed for couple years. not bad , quite firm, occasional leak.
i should prob save myself the trouble and just goto a mattress store but i stumbled upon the DIY thing when researching and am intrigued by this build your own bed model. i wont be surprised to see a build your own bed store soon.
