Hi there, in the winter i like my bedroom super cold… sometimes it can get to approx 11 or 12C or ~52-53F because i shut off the heat vent to the room and close the door throughout the day. How would a Talalay mattress stand up to that kind of temperature? Also do you know if that might affect the wood based suspension slats? Any negative effects?

Hello and thanks for the inquiry! Neither the Talalay topper nor the wood foundation should be adversely affected in any way by temperatures at 52 degrees Fahrenheit.
Thank you! Also, i’ve been reading conflicting things on the internet about whether or not a latex mattress (talalay) needs flipping and or rotating from time to time. I would assume since latex mattresses come in separate units inside a cover you would simply flip each layer? Or rotate the mattress head to feet?
Latex mattresses typically last 20 years with no flipping or rotating of the layers or mattress. However, if you’d like to extend the longevity of the mattress a bit more, you could rotate or flip the top layer every 2-3 years. The top layer takes most of the wear and tear since this is the layer that you’re sleeping most directly on. You really shouldn’t have to rotate or flip any of the below layers, it likely wouldn’t make much of a difference.
