My wife and I visited a Naturepedic store after reading here about components, and how we could mix/match so one side would work for her, another for me. I am very heavy, and go up and down in weight by as much as 100#. She’s a constant 145. We both get hot. She side and back sleeps. I sleep on side/s. We got an estimate, with the parts broken down. Comes out to $4k, and we still have to assemble the thing. This made me wonder: can one of the manufacturers here sell me the components for less?
As far as I can tell, the company has mixed reviews, and for $1700-20%=$1350 for an encasement alone, that sounds like enough for a few more parts in a DIY mattress!
I’m just curious: do any gurus here know a workaround where we can get essentially this but for much less, and with replaceable parts so when I wear them down I cna swap them? Many thanks for looking. Here’s what they quoted me:
- King EOS Mattress Encasement; 1,750.00-20.0%-350.00=1350
- EOS Comfort Layer Firm Latex Split King/TwinXL (38"x80*x3"); 575.00-20.0%-115.00=460.00
- EOS Support Layer Firm Colts TwinXL (38x80x8*); 700.00-20.0%-140.00=560.00
- EOS Support Layer Extra-Firm Coils TwinXL (38"x80x5); 700.00-20.0%-140.00=560.00
- EOS Comfort Layer Medium Latex Spit King/TwinXL (38×80x3*); 575.00-20.0%-115.00=560.00
- Organic Latex Pillow - Side Sleeper; 139.00-20.0%-27.80
- Organic Solid Latex Pillow - Standard Size; 129.00-20.0%-25.80
