Just bought the dream foam freedom synthetic latex mattress. !looking forward to a better nights sleep… I ordered it with 2 medium and one firm instead of the three different layers. I will keep this updated to let you know how it is. I also bought an inexpensive adjustable bed, I think I’m more worried about this then the mattress.! I will give more details after I get it.

Hi drm870,

There have been several people who have replaced the soft layer with a medium layer in the Freedom mattress and I would guess that they could do the same with the 12 in 1 customizable as well but I don’t know for certain so it would certainly be worthwhile asking for those who would prefer it.

As you might recall from my own thread, I am a pretty heavy person (330-340 lbs.), so you thought the PPP wouldn’t work for me with the 12-in-1 due to the soft layer. I was thinking with two mediums and a firm (or two firms and a medium, maybe) that might change. What do you think?

Hi drm870,

A more detailed conversation with Dreamfoam will be a much better source of guidance than I am about which of the combinations they have available would have the best chance of success but I would certainly agree that without the soft layer it would likely be in a much more suitable range for you in terms of PPP.

Just chatted with Chuck on their website: They can do it with the 12-in-1, too! :woohoo: He said he’d probably recommend two firms and a medium at my weight range. In any case, looks like I have another option (which is good to know, considering I’m getting closer to having to make a decision…)!

Will let you know what I end up doing in my own, original thread.
