We spent our first night on our new latex bed last night and it was heavenly. I learned everything I needed to know about purchasing the right mattress, first (and on going) from this website and then from Neal, the great guy at spindlemattress.com. I visited the Clean Bedroom, Healthy Choice and another place in Stamford, Ct., to try different beds, but found the most honest, fair and helpful information from Neal at Spindle. At first I debated about the wisdom of buying a mattress online, but need not have feared for a second.
Our bed arrived really fast once we ordered it, and the latex was clean and in perfect condition. The mattress is made of three, 3 inch layers and we got the firm on the bottom, medium in the middle and soft on the top. We put the mattress together ourselves, inside the cover (I bought the one with wool) and it wasn’t quite as daunting a task as I’d feared.
Spindle Mattress uses continuous pour Dunlop, no Talalay and I imagine our top layer is as soft as any Talalay, in fact, it is softer than I expected.
