Long time browser first time poster. I built a diy latex mattress last year using hdq foam as a base. And while I love the latex, the foam base, I hated it.
In an attempt to keep things cheaper I cut open a hybrid mattress to take the coils to use over the latex. Much better.
I just started reading about fiberglass. Manufacturer says they don’t use fiberglass, but of course who knows. I’ve done extensive research and although this doesn’t appear to be fiberglass in the typical sense, I have my suspicions and unable to identify what other material it may be. Can someone ID this thin layer sitting over the coils?
