About 13 years ago, I thought I had found the greatest mattress of all time. The Pure Talalay Bliss Nutrition mattress. The specs are
3" ActiveFusion Fast Natural Talalay 28 ILD
2" Natural Talalay Pressure Relief 19 ILD
6" Natural Talalay Latex Support Core 36 ILD
After about two weeks on it, I was having some pressure pain that was relieved by the addition of the PTB 2” firm topper. Everything has been amazing since with the mattress especially since during that time I have weighed as much as 315 and my wife is 116 and it works perfectly for both of us. That being said I have been on a journey over the past 13 months to lose weight. Fortunately I have now lost 111 lbs and started to get pain in my hips. I decided to try to elimate the topper to help with the hip pain and unfortunately now I have lower back pain. I start of sleeping on my back but always seem to end up on my stomach. I know this isn’t a ton of information however I think it may be time for a new mattress. Any thoughts on what may be good for the two of us. We prefer a firmer mattress and love the “boyance” of latex but would be happy with anything right now where I can sleep the night and wake up refreshed. I would be fine with something expensive that lasts or cheap and replace every couple of years or so. Thanks for your help and questions.
Good job on the weight loss! I need to lose 40 pounds myself. Its sort of weird to have pain as you are losing weight,
If check these mattresses out: BackScience 2 and 3, Aireloom Preferred Luxetop M1/M2 in firm/plush (4 mattresses) and the Streamline collection.
I bought BS 2. BS 2 is for back and side(could be for stomach too)(luxury firm), BS3 is for side sleepers.

Back Science 2 has a feel in between latex and memory foam. For back sleeping, back support has been great! BS is customizable too!
