We need an new mattress, because we are hoping to get back to sleeping in the same bed. Neither my husband or I are sure if it is our mattress or insomnia or something else. We both are not sleeping well and wake each other up and have a hard time falling back to sleep. Our mattress is 10 years old innerspring, but it doesn’t seem that old or bad. We have decided that maybe it is the actual components of the mattress, as neither of us sleep well after being exposed to chemicals (paint, cleaning chemicals) Then there is my husband’s vivid dreams when he is sword fighting a dragon while sleeping. How he can sleep through that and awake rested, while I am exhausted from being up half the night witnessing a duel. Am I just asking too much from a mattress? I need it to keep the motion separate, feel comfortable enough so I fall asleep, not get too hot and be very low VOC (organic sometimes has allergens, so I hesitate to say organic) Was thinking king in latex, but I might be unrealistic in what a mattress can do. Anyone had a super comfortable mattress and still had insomnia and sleep disturbances?
I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been dealing with, but I’d be happy to help! I can’t predict in advance whether or not an all latex mattress will solve the problems you’re having. However, our layered latex mattress offers an excellent chance of being a solution for you, and this is for several reasons. Our latex is an all natural product with no chemicals or off-gassing. Our layered mattresses allow you to have a “his & hers” mattress where each side is customized to each person sleeping on it. Additionally, if you start with a certain configuration and find that it’s too firm or too soft or you still not sleeping well, you can rearrange the layers or exchange a layer to make the mattress firmer or softer, so it would be easily adjustable. The adjustability of our mattresses makes it much more likely that it works for people with special circumstances such as yours. Again, I really can’t predict in advance if this is the perfect solution for you, but I know that our mattresses offer an excellent chance of providing the relief you’re looking for.
I am certainly looking into latex. I am even wondering if having to twin mattresses and bases will help me not feel the dragon fighting? (Wondering if the 50’s matching his/hers twins was more practical than I gave them credit.)
Latex is especially good at isolating motion transfer, especially Dunlop latex. If you have two Twin XL mattresses instead of one king mattress, this will definitely do even more to keep you from feeling the motion transfer while sleeping, so you’re in great shape in that regard!
