Is there a box spring 9 inch for latex mattress

Have determined that I need a latex mattress because of my large size 6’ 3" 255#. I visited a Pure Bliss retailer that is 1 hour and 40 minutes away. He only had 3 styles but I liked the 8 inch Pamper with a 2" plush topper for a 10 inch mattress total. They sell a 9 inch heavy duty box spring that was approved buy PBL, it is made by Omaha mattress company. That gives me a total of 19 inches. My wife and I are going have split King bed with 2 twin XL Matresses. She wants to buy 14 " interspring with a low profile 5" box spring. My problem now is the ILD of Pamper Matress , 6" 40 ILD & top 2" ILD of 21. I think the top will get an impression within a few years due to the ILD only being 21.
I reviewed your site and determined I could do the same thing with your mattresses, 9" mattress with 2" topper and 8" box springs. I could not find the ILDs of your different layers except for the toppers. I hope to get the ILD for PBL 2" plush. Am I right in wanting higher ILD in my mattress and softer plush top? I do sleep on my sides and at time have pain in rt hip. I also have a bad lower back and feel I need the support. Any though would be appreciated.

Thanks Mike

Hello Mike

Thank you for your inquiry. Based on the information you so kindly provided, I do indeed agree that a 9" latex mattress will offer enough contour and support for you. However, at 255lbs I would recommend a medium density as your top contour layer. Although a soft layer may initially feel great, overtime I would worry about premature body impressions, as well as lack of overall support. I normally recommend a soft ILD (19-24) top contour layer for customers that weigh less than 180lbs, and a medium ILD (30-33) top contour layer for customers that weigh over 180lbs. A medium top will ensure proper comfort and longevity of your mattress. Lastly, I recommend gradual support for your bottom two layers, which would be Firm over X-Firm. This would give you an overall configuration of Medium over Firm over X-Firm.
