I’ve finally managed to get some depth and density details for one of my prospective mattress. Hypnia Supreme-hybrid.
The design is layers of: tencel/polyester quilted cover: memory-Dunlop-honeycombed foam-polyfoam.
I assume the honeycombed foam sets the 7 point zoning and last layer is mostly a barrier to the pocket springs.
While I’m hoping to clarify further, all the foam layers were listed as 50-55kg/m³ and up to 8cm combined. Taken with the 20cm springs, that leaves 2cm left to account for the cover, base and latex.
I’m hoping there isn’t too much memory foam over it and wondering whether that much would have a significant of an effect on the lifespan/support, if it’s likely to thin for that.
Unless I start again, I was down to this, the OTTY bamboo 2+2+2cm of Mem,Mem,poly (retired legacy version estimated 50kg/m³) and maybe the lauded Origin Hybrid, though their marketing really puts me off and the spec details are completely secret.
Thanks for any help.
