Just ordered a mattress! Questioning if we went too firm and would like some advice before they ship it.
Me: 130, 5ft6in, ordered firm Dunlop base, medium Dunlop middle, medium talalay top
Husband: 185, 6ft2in, ordered firm Dunlop base, firm Dunlop center, medium talalay top.
We have the saatva latex hybrid which doesn’t not offer enough support for us (mostly stomach/side sleepers, never back.)
Should we change anything?
Hello and welcome to the forums and thanks for reaching out on this! Each configuration is one step firmer than what we’d recommend for folks at your heights and weights, but there’s no wrong way to set up the mattress, as long as you’re comfortable. If you both prefer a mattress that’s a bit firmer than “normal” then there’s no reason to think it wouldn’t work for you. So I say go for it!

I’m zeroing in on you saying the hybrid doesn’t offer enough support for you. Perhaps then it is good to have a firm base. The talalay should provide some cushioning. If you find, as you sleep on your side, that there is not enough give, you can always add a topper to it to give more cushioning.
