Hello,
My wife and I have needed a new mattress for a bit. We’ve got a spring mattress that has a big divot in the middle so that we roll into the center and it’s a huge pain. While shopping I’ve been looking for something that wouldn’t get deformed like our last mattress, so I’ve been looking at higher density and quality materials. Most recently latex and latex/foam hybrids have been most interesting to me - I sleep pretty hot so I prefer latex on top at least to foam. I’m 6’5" just over 200 lbs back/side sleeper and my wife is around 130 lbs and 5’7", mostly side sleeper. I think part of our issue with the last mattress was that we tend to sleep close together so we’re effectively a 350 lb blob a lot of times. I’m looking to ideally spend less than $1500, definitely less than $2000.
We got the kiss mattress a little while back and I really like it, but after a couple days sleeping on my back my lower back starts to get sore, so I think I need something a bit firmer, but not a ton firmer since my wife is pretty light and sleeps on her side.
There’s a bunch of different brands and stuff out there, and while I’m tempted to stay with sleepez since I liked the kiss mattress, the restocking and layer changing fees are a bit much for me. If I get a mattress that I don’t like I don’t want to have to pay almost $100 to return it, that’s very pricy.
What mattresses have people tried that they’ve been very happy with, ideally with good return policies? I’m pretty sold on at least a latex top layer if not a full up latex bed. Thanks for the help!
Please keep in mind that most of our customers have never laid on a latex mattress before, and yet we have only a 10% layer exchange rate and a 4% return rate on our Select Sleep mattress. We use the experience that comes from our 42 years in business to make a recommendation tailored to each customer, and it’s our experience that allows us to maintain these low stats. As such, you honestly shouldn’t expect to have to return one of our Select Sleep mattresses as long as you allow us to make a detailed and informed recommendation for you, and and long as you call us if you need to make any adjustments (this way we can make sure we get your mattress dialed in for your specific needs and preferences without much trouble).
I believe that there’s high success rate but that is about double the daily rate of a mattress if I were to buy it - is there a way to reduce the return layer or mattress price? Even if the chance is low if I end up having to return it doesn’t end up as economically sound as if I get a mattress with free returns
Hello Harambedidnothingwrong
We do indeed offer discount codes for our mattresses that will help with costs. Please don’t hesitate to contact our office for said discounts at your convenience. Our layer exchange policy lowers the risk of purchasing a mattress sight unseen. We offer unlimited layer exchanges for 90 days. Your first exchange is a flat $30 shipping fee. Our return policy includes a flat $99 return fee, which is very competitive in the latex mattress industry.
Please don’t hesitate to call our office at 480-966-8731 should you have questions, or would like to discuss further.
