I’ve recently joined after long lurking here and Reddit while compiling information and checking out recommendations.
My wife and I looking for a new mattress, after dealing with a lot of lower back pain we decided it’s time. I have a lower back injury which is hard to manage with any inflammation. I 5’9” 190lb 30% side sleep 70% back, her 5’7” 125lb side sleeper. I’m hopeful with a good mattress will help alleviate some inflammation.
We both like a medium mattress, with a traditional pocket coil feel. I’m leaning toward a latex comfort layer as it’s recommended highly here as oppose to what we have that’s dipped (foam) over coils. I’m open to the diy solution if it means getting what I want within my budget of 2k with some flexible. Supply is limited here in Canada, for quality made mattresses and components it seems. Any recommendations they fit this bill would be much appreciated as I’m going crazy lurking over so many forums and reviews. Many thanks!

This mattress looks like it’ll be a great contender and in the budget I’m looking for. I understand it difficult to consult on what I need exactly however its more so lower back support that’s key for me.
On that note do you believe this mattress can provide that support better than say something with foam or a latex based mattress. I’m open to other options so long that it can provide some sort of relief.
