Hi,
We are on the hunt for a split king full latex mattress and liked an all natural talalay flippable mattress at a local store, but delivery is too far out so now we’re searching for online options.
I’m reading conflicting things where some say my partner would need at least 12" thick and others say 10" would be enough to support his size (6’5" and fluctuates between 250-275). Is there a general guideline to help us with this decision? Also, will talalay be enough to support him or do we need to add some dunlop in at least the first layer. He’s looking for a firm mattress and I’ll probably get medium as I’m much smaller and have chronic pain issues. I don’t know if plush exists in the latex world, but that feeling would be my ideal. We will also be getting adjustable bases, if that matters.
We’ve been looking at FloBeds (a little on the pricey side for us), Sleep on Latex (not sure if it will be too firm for me and thick enough to support him) and Flexus (admittedly have been having trouble with their customer service response time). I’ve read all the literature, tips, etc, but think I’m going into information overload so any advice would be appreciated. Also would welcome any additional companies that offer mostly talalay or talalay/dunlop combos.
