Hi all - we recently invested in a new king size mattress. We’re a week in and we’re unsure about it. What’s the recommended time to give it before you decide to return it?
Also - any recommendations on mattress covers to protect it too? We found a few on amazon - leaning toward this one but I like the idea of looking at something like this that does all that but also addresses bed bugs (just out of paranoia) - https://amcanproducts.com/
Thanks in advance for your help.
Most companies require you to try the mattress for at least 30 days before they’ll arrange for a return or exchange. They commonly state that it can take that long for the mattress to break in and for your body to adjust to the new alignment and support.
Welcome TCorolla1988!
As Bill mentioned, most companies do ask that you give a mattress 30 days before you make a decision about the mattress.
You are wise to get a mattress protector. You don’t say what material your mattress is constructed of - if it is latex, you may want a mattress protector that is stretchy and can move with the contouring of the mattress. Otherwise, any protector you are comfortable with can work. An encasement provides the best protection, but can also be tricky to get off and back on for washing.
I hope this is helpful!
