My significant other is a T6 complete paraplegic (no core control. Paralyzed from the nipples down). Around 6’1. 225 lb male nearly 40 years old. We’re replacing his very old spring mattress (queen size). With an adjustable queen size bed. We ordered a set from dream cloud. Adjustable frame and the hybrid top tier mattress. Andddd he hates it. It’s too soft.
We need a firm bed. Good for pressure reducing for pressure sores. edge support for transferring. And preferably in the 1000-1500$ price range. And it needs to work with an adjustable bed frame. Back sleeper.

I am sorry to hear about the issues that your significant other is having, especially in light of his condition. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I have worked with many different paraplegic customers who have had similar issues and it really comes down to understanding the needs well. In this case, he would need a mattress that can be firm enough to allow for proper overall support and easy transfer in and out of the bed, but also has the ability to allow for good breathability and pressure relief on the surface in order to avoid pressure sores.
