Did not see much info on this Dunlap Latex re reviews and wonder how the layers work and if it is a good choice - do they tend to separate if changed from medium to firm on each side (if I am understanding how they work)
Hello Patches,
Thank you for your question because it gives me an opportunity to describe the advantage of our layered design. We have been shipping our latex mattresses for the past 20 years using a layered design because it allows us to customize the entire mattress for two different individuals. The latex rubber layers do not separate or slid when stacked on top of each other due to the natural porous surface of latex and, also, are encased in a quilted zipper cover with thick quilted border. We sell thousands of these mattresses each year without the problem you mentioned. The costs are higher with this design, and of those selling an “all latex mattress,” about 10% have adopted our design. The remaining 90% are selling latex mattresses completely enclosed with no adjustability. With the 90% If you want a different feel, you must select from several different models, have it delivered, and if it doesn’t meet your expectations you either live with it or return it.
With our “Select Sleep” design you simply unzip the mattress cover and re-arrange the layers to change support and feel of your side of the bed. The latex layers come in 4 different densities or(firmness), soft, medium, firm, and extra firm. Our most popular model is the 10,000 made with three 3" layers of different firmness, Soft top layer, Medium middle layer, Firm bottom layer. We have diagrams of the different configurations on our website and even a tool where you can fine-tune the design based on your height, weight, and sleeping position.
In response to your mention of not seeing Sleep EZ on many of the “new review sites” that have popped up in the last two years – here is the “naked truth.” Most mattress review sites are “pay-to-play,” meaning that if companies are willing to pay them a commission for each sale referred, they will list and publish a favorable “review” of their product online. While this trend has helped many new mattress brands get exposure, they usually don’t provide an accurate (or even realistic) view of the products being reviewed. Because of this, Sleep EZ is promoted only on quality sites with a focus on providing consumers with the best value, and accurate information. We know that real customer experiences and facts are the basis for sites like The Mattress Underground, which is why we’ve been a loyal member for so many years.
