Hello,
My partner and I are looking to buy a new mattress, and I’d like some advice on a king size SleepEZ natural mattress build.
• She’s mainly a back sleeper
• I’m mainly a side sleeper
• We’re both on the heavier side
We bought a Leesa original in 2015 that we loved, but it was damaged a move couple of years later. We replaced it with a Zinus, which was terrible. After a lot of research, we bought a SleepEZ Roma in 2021. We enjoyed that bed a lot, but it’s was destroyed in hurricane Helene.
We didn’t/don’t want to buy another Leesa because they’ve changed the formula of their original latex-like “Avena” foam, which is part of the reason we went latex. We also appreciate the durability and hypoallergenic quality of latex.
We found the original Leesa 10/10 comfortable.
We found the SleepEZ Roma 9/10 comfortable.
The original Leesa had a floating-on-water quality that’s hard to describe.
We’re going to get a split mattress, because the Roma was comically heavy. The SleepEZ calculator recommends extra-firm/firm/medium for both sides. I am really concerned that that will be way too firm for us, and I’m thinking firm/medium/medium. But maybe it’ll be difficult to move around on if we do that, so who knows. I know we can do layer exchange, but I’d really prefer to get it right the first time.
Any advice is appreciated!
