I have a delema, we are moving and can only take one of our mattress’s. Six yrs ago we bought a tempurpedic weightless supreme and I hated it because it was too firm. We put it in a guest room. We went through quite a few since then, none that I really like. In Dec we bought the tempurpedic cloud. It’s ok. I recently bought a latex mattress topper and put it on the weightless supreme and have been sleeping like a baby. My dilemma is how can I justify to my husband to ship the old mattress verse the new one that he likes. Is one a better quality mattress? Also I currently have a regular size box spring on the bed and will need to use a low profile one. Will that make a difference in the comfort. Thankyou for any and all help
Yes, you do have a dilemma for sure! It’s really difficult to see why the latex topper “Weightless Supreme” combo is comfortable for you, since Tempur is quite secretive on how their mattresses are constructed. I get the feeling you enjoy the feeling of latex (talalay or dunlop?) and that the topper is providing pressure relief you dont get from the Tempur viscoelastic foam top. Everybody is different and some prefer the sink into feeling of Tempur while others prefer the on top sleeping of latex. Have you tried the topper on the “Cloud”?
As for the low profile boxspring it will not make any difference in comfort, other than make your mattress lower and may make it more difficult to get out of bed.
