Does anyone have recommendations for a mattress topper that would be suitable for a 5’3", 115lb petite female with spinal arthritis, scoliosis, cervical stenosis, bone spurs, bulging discs and piriformis syndrome?
I’ve been sleeping on a Serta Medium Firm Mattress with a 3" Sleep On Latex Dunlop topper which up until I got the piriformis syndrome worked fine. But the piriformis syndrome is quite painful, but when I sleep on my side and on my back, so I think I need some more pressure point relief.
I’m not at the point right now that I can invest in the quality of mattress that I want, so want to try a topper at least for this coming year to try and get some relief. I’ve considered a 19 ILD Talalay topper, but gosh, Talalay is expensive!
And… despite my caution about memory foam because i’m a two-time cancer survivor so cognizant of potential off-gassing health issues, I sleep the best I’ve ever slept on a Malouf Cervical Z Dough Pillow, so would consider memory foam that’s CertiPUR-US Certified as they certainly are cheaper. I assume I’d need a 4-5 density memory foam? And I’d like 3" either way I go.
Most of the mattress toppers I have seen - especially the Talalay Latex toppers are NOT returnable so that’s a huge concern of mine given the price. And when I am spending upwards of $400 that’s a big chunk of change if something doesn’t work out that I’d rather put toward a mattress.
Does anyone have any recommendations for brands to look at - either Talalay or Memory Foam that have return policies?
