Which Engineered Sleep Mattress

I am going to upgrade from our 8 year old Saatva Classic. I am impressed with Engineered Sleep. Has anyone decide between the Duo Lift and Duo Latex? How did you decide? I am leaning toward the Duo Lift? Thanks for any feedback. Replacing a mattress is such a difficult decision.

@EngineeredSleep

Hi @GaryL - the Duo Latex is much more popular, but if you give me a little more info I am happy to help you with choosing between the two!

Hoping some other people chime in as well.

Just to note: you do get one Comfort Exchange with our Duo Mattresses. So, if you chose the Duo Latex you can exchange the Comfort Layer to the Lift, Latex Plus, Memory, etc.

Let me know how I can help!

Hello Davis, thank you for your reply. My wife is 5’ 115lbs and I am 6’1 220lbs. She is a side/stomach sleeper and I am a stomach sleeper. We are in our late 50s and sleep on a full bed. She likes firm sleep and I like medium to firm. Motion for her is an issue which I am pretty sure gets impacted by our size difference and sleeping on a smaller bed.

We have been generally happy with the 8 yr old Saatva Classic we have, but the top seen to be aging.

Your system’s ability to replace the top is a huge bonus in my estimation and is so logical.

Hope the shared info might help in any feedback to us.

Blessings,
Gary

Hi Gary!

Thank you for providing those details. Always helpful! My first thought would be to recommend the Duo Memory Mattress for a few reasons. It hits the firmness range you are looking for and also it will be the best for motion transfer because of the Memory Foam. We only use 2 inches of Memory Foam to take advantage of the benefits of Memory Foam and minimize the negatives of Memory Foam (sinking into the mattress too much, sleeping hot). With only using 2 inches you get that Memory Foam comfort but you do not feel stuck and it does not sleep hot.

You could always go the Duo Latex route and if the motion transfer was an issue then you can do a Comfort Exchange and swap to the Duo Memory. Latex is slightly more responsive, but if you have a sturdy bed frame there is not a ton of motion transfer in this mattress either. It will be similar to the Saatva Classic in that category - maybe slightly better.

Any questions on this information?
