Will a basic felt protector interfere with latex hybrid conforming as intended?

Hi,
I’ve always used a felt blanket, halved for 2 layers, as a mattress protector.

As I’m tending towards getting a hybrid medium-firm latex mattress, I’m wondering if having those layers on top might stop the latex conforming in the intended way?

I’d appreciate any insight or recommendations.

Thank you everyone.

Hey TheArcSet.

It’s possible the bed will feel a bit different to you than it did while testing, simply because there’s a different layer of material between your body and the bed. As a rule, any material between you and the mattress can affect the feel of the bed (toppers/mattress protectors/encasements, etc).

That said, unless it’s especially tight across the mattress, it shouldn’t prevent the latex from doing what it is designed to. I’d suggest testing it to see what it feels like and adjusting from there.

Thanks NikkiTMU.

I guess I can always switch to a thinner protector if it’s an issues.
